Canadian alt-rock power couple Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger paid a visit to Ryan Seacrest this week, where they discussed Avril's new tune "Here's to Never Growing Up" and their relationship — namely, how they got together, how quickly things progressed, and how Chad popped the question.
Avril says Chad proposed to her in the studio.
"The only thing that was weird was we usually go to the studio together and he had gone before me," Avril recalled. "And I have been making this scrapbook of my time in the studio with a Polaroid camera and the only thing that was weird was I walked into the studio and he was putting a picture in to the book and I was like ‘What is he doing?'"
"And all of a sudden I walk over and he had taken a photo of himself holding the ring box and put the Polaroid in my scrapbook and because I had stickers everywhere he put in ‘Will you marry me?’ It was really romantic," she gushed.
Now Avril is sporting a pear-shaped rock of epic proportions and planning a big, splashy themed wedding. Given her personal taste, we wouldn't be shocked if the theme was Hello Kitty. And oh hey, she could wear one of these:
